Once a producer receives and accepts a negotiation proposal, the deal should be considered finalized immediately, eliminating unnecessary delays. This approach enhances professionalism and reduces the frustration of waiting for client confirmation, which can sometimes be indefinite.
Thanks for sending this over, and for laying out the reasoning so clearly.
We hear you on the waiting. When you’ve accepted an offer and the artist goes quiet, that deal is just sitting there, and it’s frustrating not knowing if or when it’ll close.
That said, we don't plan to make accepted proposals finalise automatically at this time. An offer starts a conversation; it isn't payment. Charging an artist the moment you accept would mean taking their money without them confirming the purchase, and that’s not something we’d want either side of a deal to experience. The final step has to stay with the person paying.
We do want negotiations to feel faster and more reliable for producers, and the problem you’ve described is a valid one. We’ve logged your feedback with the product team so it’s part of future conversations as we look at how negotiations can improve.
Thanks again for taking the time to share this with us!
