As AI music grows in todays time, alot of people are using AI to generate beats to sell online. Me and other producers are noticing that these people are flooding the Beatstars with tons of AI beats a day to sell which is drowning out the real producer in real time on the Beatstars platform. The oversaturation of AI beats is highly unethical for the real producers trying to make a living doing what they love.
Can you guys please implement a feature to where these people who are uploading tens and hundreds of AI beats to label their beats if it was generated by AI and have different tiers like "Fully Gernerated By AI" "Partially Generated By AI". Something like that. Like how Spotify is doing with their platform. We need this done ASAP to protect the real producer community and the customers buying the beats on the platform. The more further ahead we get this done will help tremendously and laws are passing that AI generated music cant be copyrighted anyway so there is a violation on TOS from Beatstars.
Thanks for sending this over.
Right now, we don’t have plans to add labels for AI-generated content on BeatStars. That’s the honest answer for today.
It’s not off the table, though. As more AI-made music shows up across the platform, helping creators and listeners understand what they’re hearing is something we’ll keep coming back to. Feedback like yours is part of how we decide what to build next.
We’ve logged your suggestion with the product team. Thanks again for taking the time to share it.
