1. Keep saved lyrics accessible after a beat is sold

Previously, when I wrote lyrics or ideas for a beat on BeatStars and that beat was later sold, the lyrics I had written for it remained accessible in my account.

After the recent update, when a beat is sold, its artwork/thumbnail still remains visible in my account, but I can no longer access the beat itself or the lyrics I wrote for it.

I understand that a beat can be sold and that access to the actual beat may need to change. However, the lyrics are my own creative work. They often contain ideas, concepts, and parts of songs that I may want to come back to later.

If BeatStars is able to keep the beat’s artwork and record visible in my account after it has been sold, I believe the lyrics associated with that beat should remain accessible as well.

If saved lyrics disappear every time a beat is sold, I will unfortunately have to stop writing and storing lyrics directly on BeatStars, because I cannot rely on the platform to preserve my creative work.

The beat can be sold, but the idea I wrote to it should not disappear with it.

Please consider keeping users’ saved lyrics accessible even after the associated beat has been sold.

2. Keep my position in the Lyrics list after editing a lyric

There is also another issue with the Lyrics section.

When I browse through my saved lyrics, I may scroll quite far down the list — for example, to the 21st lyric — and open one to write or edit it.

After I save the lyrics and close them, BeatStars takes me back to the very beginning of the Lyrics list instead of keeping me at the position where I was.

This means that if I have many saved lyrics, I have to scroll through the entire list again to find the place where I stopped.

Currently, the only workaround I have found is opening each lyric in a separate browser window. This allows the original Lyrics list to remain at the same position.

However, if I have multiple BeatStars windows open at the same time, the website can become unstable and eventually stop responding.

It would be much better if the Lyrics section could remember the user's position in the list after opening, editing, saving, and closing a lyric, instead of automatically returning to the beginning.

Thank you for taking the time to consider these issues. Both of these problems make it much harder to use BeatStars as a reliable place to develop and store song ideas and lyrics.
