Hello,
I would like to suggest adding a feature that allows creators to require or request a follow on social media (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) as part of the free download process.
Currently, there is an option to include a BeatStars follow, but it would be very useful if this could be extended to other social media platforms as well, not just Twitter/X.
This would help artists grow their audience outside of BeatStars and make the exchange more balanced — free downloads in return for social media engagement.
It would be great to have a simple option like:
“Follow on selected social media platforms to unlock free download links.”

Thanks for your suggestion, and for laying out the reasoning so clearly. Extending social unlocks beyond Twitter/X is something we may look into down the line.
It's worth flagging that some platforms (Instagram and YouTube, especially) have policies that restrict features incentivising follows in exchange for content, which limits what we can build natively. That said, it's an area we keep tabs on as those policies shift.
In the meantime, the email unlock is your best bet. It gives you a direct line to that customer for ongoing exchanges, whether that's promoting new releases, sending exclusive content, or pointing them to your socials later on. A lot more long-term value than a one-off follow.
